Congratulations to Alissa Smith!
Grand Valley Graduate School recognized 56 graduate students with Dean’s Citation Awards and one of those 56 was Spectrum Health Innovations intern, Alissa Smith. Alissa was given the Excellence in Service to the Community or Profession award and a graduate honors cord for her outstanding academic performance. Alissa received this award for all the hard work she has done at Innovations over the past year.
“Alissa has been a wonderful teammate and asset for Spectrum Health Innovations. She has worked with SHI since May of 2017, quickly acclimated herself to SHI’s operations and engineering initiatives, and has become a valued contributor to the team. Alissa has worked on assessing and developing a wide array of new health care related product ideas, including serving as the engineering lead on a product that has already been commercialized and is driving revenue to SHI. For her graduate thesis project, Alissa has been working on developing a new device for shoulder surgeries, and SHI is already exploring commercial outlets for this product. We have appreciated working with Alissa, and support her nomination for this award. “ Scott Daigger
