Teen Entrepreneurship Summer Academy Comes to Grand Rapids!
Spectrum Health Innovations (SHI) is excited to be apart of this year’s Teen Entrepreneurship Summer Academy (TESA)! For the second year in a row, SHI will contribute our entrepreneurship expertise during the innovation ideation session part.
TESA is a program offered through the Richard M. and Helen DeVos Center for Entrepreneurship & Innovation (CEI), Grand Valley State University, to give high school students the tools and knowledge to start their own businesses through a weeklong crash course in entrepreneurship.
The Teen Academy is designed for high school students entering grades 9th all the way to 12th grade. The Teen Entrepreneur Summer Academy attracts students from across the state of Michigan. During the five day academy, teams of four to five students from different schools manufacture an original business pitch from the idea stage to a developed concept. On the final day, each team will present their idea to a panel of local business professionals for a chance to win cash prizes totaling $5,000!
